I'm Mike Roberto, the owner of mikeroberto.com, based in Oklahoma, United States. Here's how I handle your information.

What I collect and why

  • Newsletter: Your email address and signup/confirmation records, to send the updates you request through Kit. Emails may use tracking pixels and tracked links to report opens and clicks, helping me understand what readers find useful.
  • Contact: Your name, email address, and message, to respond to you. Web3Forms delivers contact-form submissions to my Google Workspace email. Sending a message doesn't subscribe you to the newsletter.
  • Site visits: Cloudflare hosts and protects the site and may process your IP address, browser details, requested pages, and timestamps for delivery and security. Its basic analytics report visits and page performance.

I don't sell or rent your personal information or give your email address to other businesses for their marketing. Information is processed by the providers above to deliver these services, and may be disclosed when legally required or necessary to protect against fraud or abuse. Providers may process information in the United States and other countries.

Cookies, embeds, and comments

The site remembers your light/dark theme in your browser's local storage. I don't run advertising trackers or Google Analytics. The site doesn't change its behavior in response to browser "Do Not Track" signals.

YouTube videos use privacy-enhanced embeds. YouTube and GitHub/Giscus comments may receive technical information when their content loads and may use cookies or similar technologies, including to recognize activity across sites. Comments and your GitHub profile are public. Their services and linked websites have their own privacy practices: Google/YouTube and GitHub.

Your choices and retention

Unsubscribe using the link in any newsletter email. Unsubscribing stops newsletter delivery; it doesn't automatically delete existing records. I keep information only as needed for your subscription, correspondence, security, or legal obligations, including a minimal record to honor unsubscribe requests.

Email [email protected] to ask questions or request access, correction, or deletion. I may verify your identity before fulfilling a request. Your local law may provide additional privacy rights.

This site isn't directed to children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect their personal information. Contact me if a child has submitted information so I can delete it.
